Elegant and captivating, Malina invites listeners into her most vulnerable and reflective moments. Her sound blends orchestral elements with a raw, cinematic edge, drawing inspiration from artists like Lana Del Rey, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lizzy McAlpine. Through her music, she explores self-discovery, emotional recovery, and truth.


The name Malina comes from the Swedish Malin symbol, meaning “you have to face setbacks to be able to go forward.” This idea sits at the heart of her folk and chamber pop style, where she often shares her experiences with domestic violence, sexual abuse, and mental health.


While studying at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where she completed a Bachelor of Popular Music in 2018, she began transforming her trauma into songs that gave voice to her healing. Her debut single Behind Closed Doors.



Her follow-up single Yesterday’s Coffee also resonated strongly, rising from #100 to #44 on Unearthed within a week. Under the name Malina, she continues to write music that balances heartbreak with hope, crafting songs that stay with you long after the final note.
